Ever notice that when you want to reboot your phone, you can't turn it on for a few seconds after the screen goes black? Try this next time...after powering off your phone, wait for the screen to go black then tap one of your buttons (like the home key) to illuminate them. When the buttons fade out after you do this, the power button will be active again. ;)

You can also if needed do a soft reset. This won't reset anything on your phone but it works good for a quick reboot and also avoids the "battery pull" to fix a lockup.

ive noticed with that method the battery reporting get screwed up, ill be at 55% and do that and itll power back up and say 13%, do a normal reset and then itll be back to normal

Hmm interesting... Hasn't happened to me when I do that, say I'm running with 80% do the soft reset and come back on with 80%.

I wonder if its ROM related.. I'm rooted/CWM3.0.0.5/EXT4 Edify with Bonsai v1.1.3

Maybe it has something to do with the ROM I'm on verses what you running?

I've noticed the same thing with soft reset...battery level gets all screwed up.

This happened to me the other day. Soft reset using Quick boot though. Just a normal reboot. When my phone "came to" again, battery was at 13%. I'm like wtf? But instead of restarting again, I just plugged it in the charger. Hasn't happened since...

what happened when you put it on the charger? Mine went from 73% to 15% with the soft boot, then I did a hard boot and it only went upto 32%.
