After trying several mounts, I am a bit frustrated that I have not been able to find a air vent mount that has clamp bars big enough
to handle the LG G4 in a case.

I have a leather backed model that sits inside a Verus Verge Satin Silver case. (Im a new member and cannot post links yet)

The phone is thick with the case so the mount i'm currently using, a Abco Tech Car Mount, isnt up to the task, it doesnt stay in very well.

I found that suction cup mounts don't work all that great in my car during cold winter days so thats why I went to the Air vent kind. I can't use a CD mount as my car stereo's CD player is behind the faceplate. Magnetic mounts probably won't support the weight of the case and the phone all that well.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in Advance!

If Best Buy is convenient to you, you should go in and open up a few different boxed models and see if they hold your phone well. The one made by Rockfish had some pretty deep set grabbers. I put all my phones in an OtterBox Defender case (about as big as any case gets) and mine always fit that mount. I'm currently using the one made by iOttie (iOttie Easy One Touch 2 Car Mount review | Android Central), which fits my cased G4. It didn't come with vent mounts, but it's got some new kind of suction cup that holds amazingly on almost any surface (even textured plastic/leather). You can youtube search that mount and see a few videos on how well it holds.

I've been using kenu for about 3 weeks and I love it...holds super snug and fits any phone up to six inches I believe, so putting your g4 in a case is no problem whatsoever. Go for the kenu and you'll be happy

The iOttie mount is connected to a ball and socket base so you can find Garmin ball+socket air vent clips and use that. But I found using this mount with a tpu case just barely fits depth wise and if you use it in landscape position, the phone has popped out going over bumps before.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I just now read the replies :) I will look at these suggestions and hopefully one will work for me.
