I just purchased my V10 and need a good case to protect against drops (although I'm good about not doing that) but need to be able to quickly remove & attach for battery changes. The ability to change batteries is the main I reason I purchased the V10 (replaces my Note 3) the specs and features are nice as well.

I go through at least 2 batteries/day and always have at least 2 fully charged spares with me. Those 3 piece Defender type cases don't cut it and don't hold up well to being taken apart daily so. It doesn't need a plastic cover over the screen (preferably does not have a cover) instead a good bumper which prevents the screen from being hit if dropped face down is better. I also place a thin tempered glass screen cover for added protection.

For the last couple years with my Note 3 I've been using an $8 case from ebay which has a rubber skin that surrounds the phone which is then placed into a plastic case. It works great!

Thank you

I use an obliq case from amazon. It was about $10 and holds up well from me taking it off and putting it back usually at least once a day. It's one piece but durable and flexible enough to easily take off

Thanks for your reply. That is actually #1 on my list I'm just a little curious about drop protection but for $10 I'll add the Zeiss tempered glass screen protector.

Yeah I was thinking a thicker one piece rubber case would be your best option. The otter box case types just aren't made for this.

I have an otterbox and as bomb proof as it is... its really to much case for me and my needs. I'll probably pick up an obliq case too real soon.

I have the case linked below. Got it because it was the only one I could find that has a slot to slip in my Driver's lic. and a CCard. I like the case except that is is very stiff and hard to take on and off. So DON'T get this one if you are going to be swapping batteries. I got the promotion with the extra battery and have not used it once. I charge my V10 every night but usually it is still at 20 to 40% at the end of the day. I think once I saw 6%.

For those asking about the Obliq case drop protection...

Before i received the case, i actually dropped the phone about 2 feet. It survived without a scratch. With the case, I've had some larger drops onto linoleum floors (lunchroom crashes) and the phone has fared. Obviously not everyone will have the same results, but for me the case has done fine. Introducing a screen protector (should) only help, for those who said they would do that. And, as i said in an earlier reply, it doesn't lose its form with constant removal. Hopefully this helps!

I tried a UAG on my phone before deciding to go naked out of the VZW store when I bought the phone yesterday. It slipped on and off pretty nicely. Didn't make the phone very hefty, had awesome top and bottom protection.

I'm kind of biased though. I've had a UAG on every phone I've owned except my 6P. The only phone I've had a hard time taking a UAG off of was the Note 4.

Thanks for the tips everybody and keep them coming. I went with the Obliq case for now, it looks and sounds like what I'm looking for. I'll keep checking replies, I'm sure others will find it helpful.

FWIW although I can afford the $$$$ cases I have a policy about not overpaying for anything (I just got my V10 on ebay from a top rated seller for under $500, ATT wanted $700, yeah right!

Anywho top rated sellers on ebay sell Defender type cases for under $10, I got them for our Note 3 for around $6 and my wife is brutal on her phones! they are shock/drop proof, water proof if you keep the rubber caps on and 3 pieces but I prefer the Obliq type since I change battery daily and am kind to my gear (When I sell electronics they buyer asks if I even used it).

While I'm rambling what I've been doing for years with everything from DSLRs to HD TV is to check the ratings on amazon to find out what is best and most liked then check the price on ebay, most of the time I purchase from ebay and never a problem with anythng if you stick to high (98 or higher) rated sellers. Heck I've even purchased my last couple $$$$ DSLR, flashes and lenes from Japan and China and save hundreds on each item. Yeah its "grey market" (no USA warranty but otherwise exactly the same).

Last year I purchased a $$$$ lens on ebay from China and expected the usual 7+ day wait. 2 days later it arrived in an amazon box sent from the next state.

Just my daily tips on how to put hundreds or thousands back in your pocket and help the Chinese economy!

Must have been the same seller, I got mine for $520. Actually that was the bid, in the end I was outbid by $10, but the seller gave a second chance offer and I took it.

And the Chinese economy wouldn't need any help if they would stop loaning their money out to those dead beat Americans!!! LoL Over a trillion in debt to that government. If they ever decided to collect, it would be "Made in China/USA" (Oh, and if I am in no hurry, I will also buy there to save money. ;)

Trust me I still contribute to the American economy but if I can do my shopping at work and make a purchase saving 25-50%, no sales tax & free shipping I take it. I have 2 kids to put through college, talk about a ripoff!!
