Currently I have the axon 7. It's going on 3 yrs and it can barely hold a charge. I'll have like 60%+ and when I'm browsing the net sometimes, the phone will shut off. It indicates I have very low battery. But when I start to charge it, it's like at more than half charged within 10 to 15 min.
So I don't know what's going on with my phone.

Anyways, I wanted to wait to get last yrs model so that it will be cheaper. I was looking at the lgv40, mate 20 pro and Samsung phones. But they are still on the pricy side.
Any suggestions on a good phone. I prefer a screen size 5.5 or larger for sure.
I don't play games on my phone, but I want something decent.

Thanks

Check out the Moto 7 range, the prices are good for the specifications. A cheaper alternative is the Moto 6 range from last year's models.

There is bound be lots of alternative recommendation from other members.

Just spotted your update on your budget. Go for a higher end phone.

$900? US money? Get the Samsung Note 9. If you want to go lower, go with the Note 8. I was a die hard Motorola fanatic forever. When my Moto X Pure (2015) died in September, I took my younger daughter's OLD phone (Samsung Note 5),because she got the 8 when it first came out. I am using (and loving) this phone. Definitely a convert!

Sorry to hear that your Axon 7 (which is an awesome phone) is on its way out! I'd look at the prices of the Pixel 2 line right now; as they would have dropped with the release of the Pixel 3 line. The Pixel 2 XL is 6" and has great specs! But it may be on the pricey side still - but I still recommend looking for a deal, maybe at Best Buy.

Oh, and if you're looking at Huawei products, the P20 may be a good choice too! I think it's around the $900 range.

Good luck, and let us know what you decide!

It's hard to make a decision. These phone prices are getting out of hand .
And it's really to change the battery out. For obvious reasons we know why thwy don't want u to

What are your thoughts on a higher end Nokia phone? Does anyone had any experience with 1?

Sony is a great brand. I love Nokia - it's close to stock Android but you need to ensure that its network bands match the bands of your carrier. I don't have any first-hand experience with high-end Nokia devices but users around the forums seem to have good experiences.

I just noticed that Nokia is coming out with their preview which seems interesting. Even though it's using Snapdragon 845 instead of the new 855, I read that Nokia seems to keep up with their updates and security patches. Which is a good thing.

As for Sony, does anyone know how well Sony keeps up with their updates and patches? I'm interested in the new zx4 xperia seems really nice.

I hate that other phones, especially the higher end phones copying that horrible notch design cause of apple. Talk about phone companies are bunch losers.
I hate that Samsung and others are doing the camera in the screen. It's like having stain on a shirt that stands out, or having a giant mole on your face. It bothers me .

That's why I'm gearing toward the Nokia 9 and Sony's newest xperia
