Need advise

Hello .I have an EVO that is about 20 days old.It has light leakage.I called HTC and they stated that it should not have any light leakage as it was the early builds that had that issue .The screen shows no sign of separation .The light leakage is at the bottom of the menu,back and search button.The home button to the left has no leakage now. When I was checking for screen separation I heard a creaking noise in the left corner of the screen when I pushed down on the screen.I'm concerned that the glass might crack. The phone works perfect and I don't want to swap it out as I do not want to get one that is worse than the one I have .I did a lot of searching on this topic and would like some advise .Also I was in the shade outside and was cleaning my screen and when looking at it from an angle I can see horizontal lines about 1/8 of an inch apart running up the screen.This can only be seen when the display is off and looking at it on an angle .This is my second EVO as the the first one kept turning off wifi and doing erratic things .Need help ,Should I swap it or keep it

if you can push it down.. and it reduces the leakage...
then I would think it would get worse over time.

the first 30 days is the best time to be picky. it gets more harder to get things done after that.

i would take it in to a repair center.. and have the screen replaced... not the phone. it should be free of charge!


the lines you see are normal.. and again it is hard to see.. unless you are looking for it!!!! so stop looking for it.
I think that is part of the tech that helps with the touchscreen tech.

as mentioned above. have it fixed under warranty. or give you another new one. before your 30 days are up.

since the screen seperation was the very first builds. i'm wondering if you ended up with a refurbished phone instead of a new phone.

I think since it's inside that 30 day window you should and demand a NEW phone. Like I said in my previous post I've haven't had any issues.

Same issue with me for the last 4 months, I just ignore it. Phone works perfectly for 7 months now so I don't care. Few more months it will be on to the evo 3d anyway.

Update

Well I decided to swap out the phone and I think I got real lucky.First thing the new phone is the latest build .Hardware 0004,Second no light leakage at all ,Third no creaking sound when I press on the screen near the bottom of the screen (no screen separation).Fourth the power button is not recessed and hard to push like the first one .Fifth my 3 g speeds are faster. Thank You for all of your responses.

i hear it everyday from my wife, i have not been to my four wheeling web sites in about 4 weeks because all i do anymore is read about what else i can do to my evo
