Need app or tweak to boost volume on my HTC ONE M8

When playing music through bluetooth in my car, the sound is very low. I tried Equalizer, Volume Boost and a few others, none work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. BTW - this only happens when phone is connected in my car

The volume can't be increased, only decreased (assuming the volume control is all the way up when you're playing music - increasing it when you're not playing music increases the ringtone volume, not the media volume). See if the car manufacturer has any updates for the radio. (If you use a Bluetooth headset the music will probably be normal headset volume, which means that the phone is doing what it's supposed to.)
