Is the Motorola Droid the same as the Motorola Milestone? They look the same and identical specs, I just need to make sure for when I'm looking up information and accessories for it. I'm in Canada and apparently we get the Milestone but no Droid, I'm assuming it's just a rename thing going on there.

They are CDMA (droid) and GSM (milestone). Other than that they are the same but work on different networks.

They're equivalent but not identical. Rooting is a bit different on the Milestone due to its bootloader.

i wouldn't see why not. Now that the bootloader is locked down on the droid 2, the only differences are CDMA vs GSM and a bunch of carrier bloatware.

yes, the bootloader for the milestone is not unlocked. so you can't flash custom ROMs. those of your with Milestones are stuck until your carrier updates. That is unless the new droid X community finds a way around motorola new trick. Then it will surely be passed around to all the locked devices.

tks.

I?m from Brazil, sorry about my english.

Waiting my motorola milestone.

Do you know where i look for info about change icons on that phone ?

Sorry about OT.

With the exception of the radio (GSM/CDMA) and some physical branding they are identical. However, they do not get the same software updates (e.g, Milestone got 5 home screens on 2.1 Droid only got 3).

download launcher pro and then do a google search for launcher pro icons and side load that application.
