Ok, so this whole thing started when I decided to add the Gingerbread 2.3.2 update to my phone. I didn't think much about my phone details when I went to update it but I tried to use the GT-I9000 Rom to flash which just put my phone into an unusable state.

I have tried many guides to get my phone back and running, and somehow I was able to get my phone running with a European version of Froyo which was in Spanish so I did not know what the heck I was doing. Since Sunday I have been spending hours trying to get it to work for me, finding no luck in the process. Now I have decided to ask if anybody knew a way to fix it on here before I get in deeper.

Right now my phone is in "The boot loop of hell" with Gingerbread GT-I9000. The problems I have been finding:

1. Odin will not flash CWM to my phone (fails half way).
2. Will only flash I9000 modem.bin files.
3. Has started with a kernel panic.
4. Most of the time if I get a factory Rom to partial boot my phone to recovery it fails to Wipe some data and the Recovery mode on the phone won't let me do much besides scroll down.
5. Has been in a Soft-Brick a few times as well. (Cell phone-Orange ! Triangle-Computer)
6. No insurance on the phone if I am correct.

So if anybody has any suggestions I am open for them, however I have tried many ways to get this thing back and running. One thing that I flashed to the phone that might not have helped was Voodoo-stable05.5-Froyo-GT-I9000-odin-pda.tar as stupid as that may sound :'(.

It also turns on with the splash screen Galaxy S GT-i9000 Samsung.

I'm going to be going to bed soon tonight and I will be back later on tomorrow.

I knew that it was bad however most posts that i've looked at said that its near impossible (still possible) to fully brick your phone. My brother also has a fascinate that if i was able to access the phone memory, i would copy the rom files over to get it to boot up but sadly I can't at this stage.

Same here. I remember Adrynalyne figured out a fix for this and it is posted here and at XDA, just have to find it. It's going to take a while. Don't flash anything until you hear from us.

Since this started on Sunday, I can wait :). I have tried some fixes however some were 2-4 A.M. so my thinking might not have been 100% :p.

Finally found the post. Here is the post where Adrynalyne outlines the steps he used to fix someone's phone who did the same thing you did. Here is is:

If you don't think you can handle this, wait for DroidXcon to help you. I believe he has helped someone else through these steps.

I have DroidXCon fixing it for me, thanks for helping me out as much as you can though!! I didn't think I would get too many replies this early. So far we have the i9000 off from the start screen so i know we (he has) made progress :p.
