Need Guidance Please Help

I'm one of those who are having major data problems since the update. I just received a CLNR from Verizon.
I'm very torn as to what to do. Do I go through the hassle of activating the replacement in the hope that it won't have the data issue? It seems that could help since not everyone with the update is having that issue.
Or do I send the replacement back, keep the original and hope there will be a software fix sometime in my lifetime?
I don't have any desire to root so that's not an option for me.
Any other thoughts welcome. Thanks.

are they telling you this phone will not have that issue? or just sent it to see if it would
 
Just try and see if it works. There's no guarantee.
