Need help deciding on upgrade

Hello everyone, I need help deciding on an Upgrade phone. I currently use the Motorola Droid 1.. I am trying to decide between the Motorola Droid Pro or the Motorola Droid 2 Global. I have heard the droid 2 global has overheating problems due to the processor and they randomly shut down as a result of this. Can anyone help me with their opinion on one versus the other and why you think I should pick that option? Thanks.

As they say..."beauty is in the eyes of the beholder". I can't speak to the Droid 2, I have a Droid Pro. I love the phone. I have had no reboot problems, heating problems or any of the other issues some Pro users have reported. And, I am not totally familiar with what technical difference there is between the two phones (processor, memory, OS etc.). For me anyway, I'd prefer the candy bar form factor of the Pro...I dislike a "slider" phone...something always seems to go wrong with a slider after moderate use...but that is a personal preference. I don't regret "cashing in" by Blackberry for the Pro...it is a great phone.

I moved to the Droid Pro from the Droid(1)....really enjoyed my rooted Droid, but couldn't put up with the lack of a decent physical keyboard....that and the fact that I get spoiled and have a hard time using the same phone for a year led me to upgrade...

The only issue I am currently having with my Pro is the corporate syncing delay bug....this is a known issue by Motorola and they are supposedly working on it....basically what happens is that your corporate email will push immediately for a while, then will delay for various lengths of time, and then sometimes you have to actually open the email app to get it to sync...happens daily...

Other than that I really like the phone...some may think that the keyboard is a little cramped, but I prefer having a portrait physical keyboard over the slide out or touch screen...phone is very quick with it's 1G processor....

My first android phone was the X at launch. I loved it but after about two months I switched to the Droid 2 for a couple reasons. I was overall happy with the Droid 2 but me personally, I wasn't 100% in love with a slider. It was a bit heavy, not took bad, and my biggest peeve was the top row of keys was too cramped if you ever had a case on the phone. When sliding it open, the case with stick out a little further and almost overlap slightly onto the top row. The camera was not nearly as nice as the X, but we seem to have the same one on the Pro too. I love the Pro. It is fast, light, easy to hold. I love typing on the keyboard, perfect size for me. I bought the extended battery, and the phone feels better overall with the battery and new door on, almost as it should have came this way from the factory. The virtual keyboard is decent as well. I also like that there is a side convenience key now, like on the Be's, I have mine set to open texts. You can also program shortcuts to the keyboard as well. So there is like 25 more shortcut keys as well lol.
Overall I am very happy with my Pro, suits my style better than the D2 did
