[Need Help] Gemini Assistant and Google vs. Samsung

Okay, this is a really strange one.

Our home has a lot of Google devices. Hubs, Nest Speakers, Cameras and all that mess. We use Voice Assist for a lot of things.

One of the primary uses is using it for Reminders and Tasks. When we use our Home devices (not phones), everything is added to our Google Calendar Tasks lists and reminders are set.

When I use my phone (Fold 7) and tell Gemini to "Remind me to do something tomorrow at 2pm", it adds it to my Google Calendar Tasks.

When my wife (S26U) uses Gemini on her phone, it adds it to the Samsung Tasks and we have been looking and searching everywhere, without success, to find a way to change it back to Google Calendar Tasks.

Anyone have any ideas on how to change this back to Google Calendar?

I'm assuming you've checked for defaults? Obviously her S26U is newer than your Fold 7. (too many variables )

Yeah, we went through and checked defaults. Even looked online for several suggestions, but they are either out of date or not what we're looking for.

Go to Gemini app on her phone. Tap her profile pic in upper right > personal intelligence > instructions for Gemini. Set up an instruction to use Google Tasks. Just simply type " when creating tasks use Google tasks".

Also, in personal intelligence settings, go to connected apps and make sure Google Workspace is selected.
