1) MotoX 1575 Android phone
2) Bought it new from Best Buy a little over a year ago (Dec 2016 I think).
3) Was working fine until my daughter dropped it broke the touch panel and cover glass so that it no longer responded to touch.
4) I had them replaced at a reputable electronics repair shop
5) In the repair process, the device was reset
6) On Power Up, I am prompted to setup the phone and easily able to log onto WiFi and Cellular service with no problem.
7) Google Account Verification requests I "Verify your Account" and says "This device was reset. To continue, sign in with a Google Account that was previously synced on this device"
8) I enter the Google email and password that was on phone (which still work fine via PC browser)
9) I get message "Unable to sign in to device due to a unknown error. Please try another account or try to sign in again after 24 hours"
I have been struggling with this for 6 weeks now. I have tried other Google accounts, waited days at a time in between, and done more hardware resets. The symptoms and results are identical every time. I'm caught in repeat loop of steps 7 thru 9 above.
