Need help with DLNA please

And for those who are trying this with the very same BluRay player that I am using -

Pay no attention that it says "85". They talk about the 350 also and the main character in the post is
from down under (Ausie!).

Panasonic dmp-BD85 - Help with dlna video playback

Your PLAYER may be a different one but this gives insight to why DLNA is still very "wet behind the ears"...

Well if I am ever successful at getting xbmc downloaded and INSTALLED on my pc, ill try it. Then probably if that don't let me stream from phone to players on my network ill probably throw in the towel on xp . To me, at that point it looks like HTC claims of DLNA functionality are based on win 7. And mediated center (media player 12)

Okay. Like everyone else I have the same problem. So I sent some emails out and got some answers. Unfortunately the answer I received was not good news. Our Inspire 4G records video in mpeg, unfortunately its is in the format of mp4. Which is not supported by pour BD players. I have the 210. The video format supported by the BD player is mpeg2. Support for this format will not come from firmware update for some reason. I am waiting for.a.replay as to why. You can still stream your pics and mp3s. They only way to your phone bids to tv is to have a.DLNA tv which.supports this format, HTC media, or convert the file to mpeg2 on your pc and access it thru your window media center. I hope this helps. I have spent some.time trying to get this work.

Thanks jdog1569. Yes the formats supported by Panasonic are very limited. Mpeg 2 as you said and I have converted the mpg4 (*.3gp) files that the phone stores in, to MPEG2 via ROXIO Creator 2011. It plays fine on the TV via the bluray player and DLNA.

I now have XBMC installed on my PC and my phone now sees it as a PLAYER!!. Now if I can just get the transcoding on the fly function of the XBMC to transcode the 3gp files on the fly and send then to the TV by one of two paths
1. MPEG2 to TV via bluray player
or
2. Whatever the Xbox360 can interpret so it can put it on the TV.

Interesting but tired and late so probably not tonight...

Is it possible to stream from one Inspire phone to another Inspire Phone? Technically it can server as DLNA client as well as server. So I was wondering if this can be achieved.

Hi, i just read true your post.

Now i sit with the same problem, HTC vivid (DLNA capable) and Sony BDP-S780 blu ray conected to the same network. the Bluray will se the pc, the phone does see the PC but the bluray does not see the Phone.
