Need help with my internet connection

[Android Central Question]

Hello, i was watching a YouTube video and suddenly my wifi connection stopped and disappeared. When i opened the settings app and clicked on "Network & internet" the app froze. It then says that theres a problem with the app. I tried restarting my phone and it didnt change. When i restart it, there's a message in the bottom of the screen saying something like "unable to search for wifi. Please check sim card or mobile data".

Try removing both SIM card and SD card if you have one and see if it can find WiFi then.
Also try safe mode, and if it doesn't work in safe mode try a factory reset of the device.
Otherwise it would likely be a hardware issue.
