Need help with NFL Mobile app on Droid X

I have a problem with the NFL Mobile app from Verizon. I get text notifications from it every morning, even though I uninstalled the app. I've tried reinstalling the app, turning off the text notifications in the app, and then uninstalling it. It stopped sending texts for two days, and then started up again. Anyone else have this problem? I'm at a loss as to what to do. Any help would be appreciated, as I'd really like to stop receiving these text messages.

Usually you can try to stop those type of things by replying 'STOP' to one of the messages.

I'd try that.

^ Not a bad idea. Also, how did you uninstall the app? I'd download again and uninstall using a true uninstall app from the market. I've found that the native uninstall function has a tendency to not perform a true wipe of all components in certain cases.

Tried both of the solutions posted, and they haven't worked. The text messages even say, "Text STOP to quit receiving," but I'm still receiving them.

Anyone else have a suggestion? I guess I could call Verizon, but I have the feeling they wouldn't be very helpful.

Instead of just replying with STOP to the nfl's txt try sending STOP to 69635

That worked for me, whereas simply replying to their SMS's with "STOP" didn't work. Thanks, Seymour!
