I am due for a new tablet:

I can get:
Acer Iconia A500 for $300
HP Touchpad for $275
Asus Transformer for $325
Toshiba Thrive for $285
Motorola Xoom for $350
Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 for $379

BTW, most if not all are refurbished.

Which one would YOU get and why? which is best?others better for around $300?

I would get the Toshiba. Has ALL the ports you will ever need, is Android and good quality.

Gotcha, it's from newegg.com, was raised to $340, too late I guess.

I own the A500 and love it, but I am sure I would love the Toshiba or Asus as well. Don't underestimate the value of lots of ports. I love having a full size USB port.

I prefer the Acer a500 myself, but everyone has their preferences. Acer has thought out the Android software UGI carefully.
