I've had my GS3 for just over two weeks now and have noticed the cut/paste function doesn't work. Also during a call yesterday, I put the phone on speaker and the person at the other end using an iPhone noticed it immediately and said the tone sounded tinny and much different than when the phone was not on speaker.
After a chat session with Sammy support where he walked me through the battery pull/wiping cache in recovery mode which didn't change the cut/paste issue, he suggested the only other options were to get a replacement or a hard reset, which as you know, makes you start all over again with set up etc, which is a pain.
The phone has been working great otherwise, really strong battery life and with a few exceptions all apps seem to work fine. And I had ATT set up my VVM too. So my question is with these small issues does it make sense to exchange the phone for another one while I still can or? This is my first Android device and it appears the cut/paste issue is widespread, though not sure about the call quality thing when on speaker. Thanks.
Update. It appears the copy/paste issue may have to do with the fact that I was copying text in an email and attempting to paste it somewhere else in the body of the same email. It appears this cannot be done. If I copy the text I can easily paste it in a text message or blank word doc from Kingsoft office as well as any text I've copied from a web site, etc. So it appears this is just a noob issue after all. As to the call quality I guess its something we have to live with. The call quality may not be as good as the iPhone but everything else beats it to ****, LOL
