Need some help please,

Got Inc from brother, cant get it to work, read all the required threads. It was rooted but in bad shape. Cant get recovery to work. Backed up his 4GB card, re-formated it (FAT32) put PM32IMG on it, get to hboot screen (hboot .092) tried all options.
This is where I am:
Turn phone on, white HTC screen comes up and thats it. I get 5 beeps (vibs) and screen black with green light flashing. Let it stay that way many times but nothing happens.
So 5 beeps and green light flashing, thats it. Wat can i do and where do i start?

Rename it PB31IMG.zip (If you rename it on your PC make sure you have turned off "Hide known file extensions" in Folder options so you don't accidentally name it PB31IMG.zip.zip)

Put this on the Root of your SD card (No folders)

Reboot into HBOOT with Power on + Vol Down

HBOOT will see the file and restore the Stock image. Press the power button in HBOOT to confirm the install.

Once back to stock yo will go through the setup process again and you can then decide if you want to re-root with Unrevoked.

Hi Stig, appreciate the quick reply. Downloaded, tried to open just to confirm, getting invalid file, was not planning to extract just make sure its good. Renamed it anyway and copppied to sd, botted into HBOOT and its just sitting there, phone does not recognize it either. Is there another copy or location I can re-download it from? Phone not asking to install, sitting in HBOOY menu.

HBOOT will see it of it is named correctly. You already mentioned that you formated your SD to FAT32 so that should be ok.

Also make sure you do not manually type .zip at the end of the file when renaming, otherwise you will end up with PB31IMG.zip.zip and HBOOT will not recognize it.

OK Stig, I renamed IMG to lowercase = > PB31img.zip I think we're getting somewhere. HBOOT picked it up went to update after it finished it asked it i want to reboot, i used vol up to ok, rebooted. Now sitting with the white screen HTC Incredible logo. I'm not touchhing it but how long should it stay that way? Anyway to know if i'm heading in right direction? Anything else I should do, and after how long?

Well its been more than 10 min definetly, atleast 90 min still the white screen with logo, should i pull battery and try method 2 as per reply?

No luck there. Installed HTC Sync but phone shows disconnected eventhough device mananer has HTC driver (and I tried all of them - HTC USB Sync, HTC Smartphone USB Sync....) so RUU file keeps giving me error 170 USB ... Because after I turn it on i get the 5 beebs and green light flashes. I dont know what else todo, is it hopeless?

Can you get into HBOOT or Recovery?

Try running the HBOOT PB31IMG again.

If that does not work, see if you can get into recovery. From there go to Mount partitions and mount the system partition - it should connect to the PC.

Hi, thanks for the support!
Unfortunately not getting anywhere Same results, when I turn it on I get to white HTC logo screen, then 5 quick beeps\vibs and the screen stays black while the green light blinks. I was able to use ADB and connect, I see folder structure, files, etc.. What has NOT worked is the Unrevoked 3, I'm able to install driver and can see it in Device mngr, I conndct phone to PC and run reflash_package.exe, main screen comes up but it doesnt dsee phone. Status stays on "Waiting", I thought I read somewhere that the package is supposed to rxtract?

Really tried it all I think, ur reccomendations twice.

Let me know if u think of anything else, maybe if you have time I can share screen somehow.
