I used to have an old 10/100Mbps BobjGear USB ethernet adapter, but that one died recently. I struck luck when my father got a new work laptop for his new job. The laptop came with multiple dongles, one being an ethernet dongle designed for thunderbolt ports (same connector as USB C). Since another dongle also had an ethernet socket, my father gave me the ethernet-only one. I plugged it into my Galaxy Tab S3 and BOOM! I instantly got 150Mbps internet on my tablet! If you need wired internet on your tablet, just look for a Dell DBQBCBC064 adapter.

Not to mention I don't have a constantly enabled WiFi network at home (long story...), and I need internet on my Tab. Also, WiFi just won't give me these speeds unless I am connected to a gigabit WiFi hotspot, which I do NOT have. The only problem is that this ethernet adapter sucks down battery power quite quickly, and the adapter also gets very warm during operation. I've always preferred wired over WiFi when a device can use a wired connection, since it is way more reliable and stable, especially for someone who does a ton of HD YouTube video downloads with NewPipe (lack of WiFi in house forces me to binge download stuff) and BitTorrent downloads.

Another thing to note is that system updates DO NOT work over ethernet, it just tells me no network available even though EVERYTHING ELSE works fine. I hope Samsung fixes this so I can download large updates in a sane amount of time.

That a good reason to use it via Ethernet. I am glad I am in a good area that has great coverage so I don't have that issue. How's your mobile coverage?

I have a 100GB plan on my phone with 10Mbps limit. At home, signal is pretty crappy and I frequently get "old style" 3G (H above signal bar) instead of H+ or 4G LTE. That type of connection is most of the time useless, but I can get H+ or 4G if I am either lucky or I just put my phone in/out of airplane mode several times. When I go to school, I get 4G LTE no problem at full speed. The reason it sucks at home is that my building is made with lots of metal armor and I have a metal mosquito net on my window blocking signal.

Wow that's terrible. I don't know what I would do without great Internet. I guess I would read a book, lol.

I can't have WiFi on most of the time because my father thinks it "bothers" my special-needs sister (I am still allowed to use P2P WiFi to send files between devices, but no WiFi internet allowed). This is one of the reasons I use a wired connection for my tablet, and for my phone I use the mobile data to write stuff here on AC and a little Reddit, and other basic stuff (WhatsApp, Viber, etc...) and online apps that aren't optimized for tablets. I also just PREFER a stable wired connection for the bulk downloads I do on my tablet, especially since the WiFi hotspot I use when I can has limited speed (65mbps).
