Negative charge on samsung s6

My Samsung s6 is going down while charging. It has just started doing that today. I have read what to do with an LG. Does anyone have any experience with an Samsung S6?

If the charge rate is negative while plugged in, that means the current isn't getting to the battery. The usual culprit is a bad USB cable (and micro-USB cables have been notorious for going bad in my experience). The internal connections in the cable break down and prevent the phone from getting full current. Other symptoms of a bad cable is inconsistent data connections when tethered to a computer, constant charger connect/disconnect alerts, and erratic touch screen response.

If replacing the cable doesn't work, then it could be the phone usb port itself going bad. There's also a chance the charger itself is bad, but I rarely see that reported.
