Netflix, screen cropping?

Has anyone figured out how to fit-to-screen/screen crop on the Netflix app?

It's annoying viewing something with the 18:9 ratio and have it not fill the screen, let alone having to deal with *most* content be 16:9.

Works fine with YouTube, tho.

Hopefully 18:9(I realize our phones are 18.5:9 smh) catches on, so we won't have to suffer too much longer. Lol

Netflix lacks the same zoom functionality on pc as well, although so does YouTube. Welcome to the world of ultra widescreen support.

mm I have the little button to crop to fit (two little arrows) in the right botton corner don't you guys have it?

I'm glad I asked, I probably would have never noticed it. Smh

I was expecting it to like the one on the YouTube app.

There is a Chrome extension called UltraWide Video, that will stretch YouTube videos for Ultrawide monitors :)

Then after its stretched the picture/video is distorted

In Netflix and YouTube is actually crop to fit it's like iif you were using pinch to zoom, so it make everything bigger on the same ratio until the sides of the image reaches the bezels and crop a little portion of top and bottom of the picture (which is usually insignificant). Some people will complain then that they are no seeing the whole picture but that's why it is a setting that you can set up to your personal preference. I usually prefer crop to fit. I see the most important stuff bigger and clearer and I get rid of the black bars.
