Netflix stopped working on JVC 55" UHD smart tv with built in soundbar?

The TV remote have a Netflix button and worked 100% for the last 8 months. All of a sudden this week, Netflix stopped working completely. When you click the button on the remote OR try to open the app on the tv itself, it shows the netflix logo for a couple of seconds before it goes back to the tv homescreen.

Youtube ALSO all of a sudden can't update even though there is a youtube button on the tv remote.

please help?

Welcome to Android Central! I moved this to the Android TV forum for more specific traffic.

First, make sure the Netflix app is fully updated (if the TV is able to update its apps). If it is, then check the TV's system menu or the manual to see if there's a way to update the firmware, and if so, check JVC's website to see if there's an update available.
 
Do you have to pay for a Netflix subscription, and you got 8 months free, but now it's run out?
