Network disabled in Fonepad 7 (K012)

Hi There,

Fonepad is able to identify the sim card but it is not even searching for the network. When checked it shows network disabled.

Same sim card is working fine in my other android mobile.

Any help

Warm regards

Srini

Welcome to Android Central! Are you sure your Fonepad uses the same network bands as your carrier?

Yes Diddy,

This one is from India. I flew to US and till Hong Kong it was alright. Ran out of battery and when I reached US and switched on it is not working
The same sim card when I am putting it in Micromax A102 (using another number from that phone) its working fine.

When I insert sim in fonepad it would not even check for network. It straight gives a cross on the top of signal bars

Re: Network disabled in Fonepad 7 (K012)

Go to Settings>Wireless & Networks>Cellular Networks (or the equivalent menu in your phone), and see if there is an option for Network Operators. Make sure you're choosing the correct one.

Did you try disabling and re-enabling the SIM through the settings? It usually solves such issues. Otherwise, maybe doing a factory reset could be your only option.

I have the exact Same problem
Its not working in usa
Anyone find any solution to this?
Asus website says this is quad band but this doesn't even scan the network in USA
