Network modes

Does having these on any particular mode make a difference? I am on Verizon.

You need to use the mode you have selected (LTE/CDMA) on Verizon or else some "features" of your phone will not work right. Verizon is one of the only two CDMA carriers around still (living in the dark ages still haha). The other two modes are used if you go to another carrier and use their sim (such as AT&T or T-Mobile) or if you go out of the country and use a local carrier there with their sim.
All Verizon LTE phones as GSM unlocked (by law) and can be used on any GSM network for which it has band support.
