It can take over 5 minutes to my Epson printer to show up on my S22 Ultra. In windows it shows up instantly.

Would a higher ip address number (last number in sequence > 200 take longer to find?

My old ip address was found quicker.

Does it matter that the printer and phone are in 5 gHz?

What app are you using to print? I have an HP wireless network printer, and it prints from Microsoft Office in seconds. I set up the printer once and never had to bother changing anything since I've had my router. My router is a dual band device from TP Link.

My old HP did too! It died so I bought another HP. Two days over 6 hours w cust support and printer still had errors.

I replaced it w Epson that works better but as I said it can take 5 or 10 minutes for the printer search to find it. Often it times out then must be repeated.

Airprint on iPad is even less likely to find it. One time in 10 it does.

Printer and devices all on 5 gHz. I wondered if it searches ip addresses from lower numbers to higher? There must be some reason.

Do you have the Epson printer enabler app installed?
What are the settings for the printer going to sleep? Perhaps it takes that long for it to wake up. Have you tried never putting the printer to sleep?
