New and own 2 Androids still baffled by them

Happy as a peach with my Razr Maxx and still learning ICS.
Just got Nexus 7 16Gb yesterday and can't get it to recognize my home router.:'(
Brought to local Staples and on their wifi I was able to log into Google... but back home it doesn't authenticate ...
Verizon set up my Fios system and I am clueless what they did.
My other computers have no problem seeing my wifi.... What to do???:'(
