New Android Tablet user needs help

Hi Everyone! I have a Android 2.2.1 Craig CMP738b tablet. I've noticed there Isn't much information about this particular device. I've read alot about it not having Android Market. I know it comes with an alternative (SAM 4.0) already installed but I dont really trust their apps, because this is my second tablet of this model I Bricked my first one, and the only stuff that I downloaded on there was from that SAM Market. So if any of you could offer some advice I would really appreciate it.
