Today started off as a great day. Graduated from an ancient BB to a brand new Photon! Except I can't download any apps off the android market. As I searched on the web trying many supposed solutions (sprint didn't help much on the phone) my joy went to bewilderment and, now, anger.

Here is the pertinent info. I go to the Android Market, pick the app I want to download, it tells me my download is starting shortly, I get an icon on my phone (a moving arrow) that suggests I'm downloading said app, except no download.

I'm trying to be patient, hoping there is a cure to what ails me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I love what I see so far of the phone but this is extremely frustrating

Did you try turning your phone off then back on? When I first got my photon I had similiar issues. I would turn the phone off and turn it back on and the downloads would reappear and finish downloading.

2 things to try:

1. Open task manager and manually end the market app and then try re-launching it.
2. Go to settings and then click on applications and make sure "unknown sources" is checked.

Easy fix. Go to settings> battery & data >data saver...adjust your settings. Some come pre-set to only download when on wifi. Let us know if it gets fixed

@ darkstar64 this should not be, the photon is da bomb!

u did not mention 3g, 4g or wifi

triple check your account & data settings, use the manual for a guide

did u try the all other data methods? ie, 3g, 4g & wifi? hows your signal?

did you try to try another app to dl?

check data speed?

normally apps should dl within 25 seconds

are u logged into a gmail account?

did you try a battery pull?

should be something obvious, don't u have a bad phone assuming its new & not a refurb

let us know how u made out?

hope that helps ;)
