One of our engineers downloaded the SDK for our phones and wants to write an app. The only problem is every idea that he's come up with already has an app or 10 written for that idea. So, now WE are trying to come up with an idea. We are actively soliciting for ideas, and this will be a FREE app when the project is completed. We're going to try the app in regular programming style, (SDK) Java, and in Google's drag and drop kit also.

This is a weekend project, and not a contest by any stretch of the imagination. Our app will also use minimum resources, even when running in the background. No battery hogs, or we ditch it.

So, what would you like to see on your phone? I have to admit I'm not the creative type when it comes to this, but I'm sure several of you are full of ideas. Bring it! You can also PM your ideas if you're looking to have YOUR name on the app, and if we can build it, we'll name it whatever you want. The ideas are the hard part, but if we build it for you, it must be a FREE app.

Listpro for android.
Really miss that app.
Nothing comes close.

Game I wish I had on the device?
Aircoaster for the iphone....

I think whatever you do has to end up being able to be cross platform.

This isnt an app idea but, hey i figure you might wanna dig in a little. The broadcom chip in our Evo's is capable of receiving FM with headphones as we all know, but it is also capable of transmitting too! Meaning you could broadcast your music as if you were a radio tower, short range of course.
This hasnt been touched by devs as of yet, but if you could get it to work (I understand if its out of your range, i know its out of my capabilities) then you'd be a god ;)

Here's a thread about it, sorta. [TUTORIAL] FM TRANSMITTER (dev needed) - xda-developers

Ya' know, I'll run that by the guy tomorrow and see what he thinks. Sounds very interesting to say the least, and would be very nice to have at home since my amp doesn't have bluetooth. Edit: 10:30am next morning....He laughed when I mentioned it. I have no idea how serious he is taking this, but I told him I'd come up with an idea or two with some help. Thanks.
