New battery and a dead phone...

I have searched for something like this and cant find anything on it... My original battery has finally gave out, bought a new one, and when I put it in my S5 and booted it, the screen had a picture of an unlocked lock and said custom on the screen...and there is no carrier information on my phone now...I have no idea what caused it. Is there any way for me to reprogram my phone number and all that in there or is my phone a paper weight now? Its a Galaxy S5 SM-G900A. Any help would be great

Hello! And thanks for the reply B.Diddy, I tried that and its still the same thing. I guess it zapped the SIM card info somehow, I've never heard of just changing a battery doing this.

See if you can reinstall the firmware, either by using Samsung Smart Switch, Samsung Kies (http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...amsung-emergency-recovering-samsung-kies.html), or Odin (http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...w-flash-stock-rom-via-odin-new-interface.html).

Did the phone die when the battery gave up? Sudden loss of power can disagree with processors at times. Maybe try another sim to eliminate that possibity... You may well have to factory reset the device as painful as it is....
