Hello everyone

i just bought the S7 Edge i really love it! So, im shopping around for few stuff, mostly chargers and nice cables for the car, home and office...

I am new into the android phones, its my first android phone actually. So, i read some posts that people say that quick charge and wireless charging damages the lifespan of the battery. Is this true? Should i not pick quick charge chargers then? Please, enlighten me!!!!

Thank you!

Nope, not at all. Quick Charging (wired) will make the battery get hotter than a normal charger (even 'quick' wireless charging) but that's about it. If you are weary about it, especially at night for prolonged time charging, you can disable quick charging from the phone itself even if the charger you're using is a quick one. But really, don't worry about it.

So its better to buy quick charge capable chargers and i can select when i want to use it or not? For example if i charge the phone overnight, there is no reason to use the quick charge feature, but if i am on the go and i need to quick charge it on the car, i can then enable it from the phone?

Yup, that's exactly how it would work. Mind you, if the charger is a quality one, even if you use quick charging overnight, it won't 'over charge' the battery, as both the charger and the phone have circuitry to make it stop once the battery is fully charged.

I've used a quick charger overnight (with Fast Charging enabled on my phone, I never turn it off) since the Note 5 and the battery is still going strong (I gave it to my sister when I got my S7 Edge).
