Android Central Question

I recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S8 to a Samsung Galaxy s22+ and I absolutely love it but I just noticed a problem.

Any new contact that I add does not show up on Google maps when I type in their name and even a few of my old contacts that showed up on Google maps on my old phone also don't show up on Google maps on my new phone. I have sync set to automatic and can see that it has been syncing so I don't understand why this is happening.

This is driving me crazy so any help you can give me is much appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Go to the settings for Google Maps, then select Personal Content and make sure Google Contacts is toggled on there.

Also, are those new contacts entered into your Google account, Samsung account, or local Phone account? If they're saved to anywhere besides your Google account, they might not show up in Maps.
