New Droid Maxx

I will be receiving my new Droid Maxx any day now, can anyone tell me if they are presently being shipped fron Verizon with 4.4 installed?

They may or may not be.. All depends on when the device was assembled and last touched by Moto/Verizon tech hands before final packaging.

Either way the update should be available for you to receive once you go through the activation process or soon afterwards. My recommendation is get the update done ASAP and since its new out of the box I would do a factory reset immediately after receiving the update to make sure all the cobwebs sorta speak are cleared out after the update is complete.

My Maxx is still on 4.2.2. I check for updates every other day or so, and it tells me that my phone is up to date.

I don't think so. They don't usually update them unless its been out for a while. Almost every phone I ever got received an update right when I turn it on.

I got mine a week ago, and the first thing it did was update to the 4.2.2
