New edge+ 2022?

Any current 2020 edge+ users considering upgrading?

I still love using my 2020, including look and feel of its curved edges, removed on 2022. And it still feels blazing fast, and camera continues to impress me.

Only low light selfie cam interests me on 2022, but reviews say that doesn't necessarily work great.

Really disappointed in water resistance rating.

So, can't see value in the upgrade.

Others?

I'm not an '20 Edge+ owner but I've been following info on the '22 Edge + and really considered it as a tertiary device. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like there's too many (if any) good reviews. Everything I've read says its over priced and can't keep up with the competition on multiple fronts.

FHD+ curved POLED Really for a top of the line phone? And a 4500 battery with 144 screen refresh? And knowing moto, maybe one update sometime in the future?

Actually, I've been happy with FHD+ on my 2020 edge+, have learned higher res screens just burn battery more than necessary for my usages and eyesight. I'm also happy to hear it's curved, which I two years in I still think looks immersive and eye-catching for photos and videos, and makes it faster and easier to swipe from either edge vs. flat screen. IMO most critics of curved displays probably haven't routinely used one, or at least not one as deep and effective as the 2020 edge+.

On POLED, perhaps that can make the device lighter? I'd welcome that, my edge+ still does feel a bit heavier in my hand than I'd like, and I've read that POLED is functionally equal to OLED.

I don't care about battery size, what matters is daily battery *life*, and it's impossible to compare that apples to apples based solely on battery sizes. Every new generation of chipset, storage, screens, software, etc get more battery efficient.

Months of nothing but crickets and today the December 2022 Security Update drops. Maybe it was stuck in the Chinese balloon. Anyway, the Build Number is S3SHS32.12-41-4-1 and it weighs 1.8GB.

I'm glad you finally got the update.
