Hello,

Just traded in my Moto X for a G2 a few hours ago. Was just wondering, is it a good idea to let the battery discharge completely at first? To the point where it dies? And then charge back up to full? Or is that not necessary .... ?

Thanks

It's not good for lithium-ion batteries. Don't let it to drop to low levels, charge often. Google how to take care of lithium-ion batteries.

I've heard to use your phone until it warns you of a low battery and then to charge it.

You don't want to do this with lithium ion batteries. It's not good for long term battery health. Best thing to do is avoid deep discharges (80-20% is good.
