Hello everyone!
My name is Magic (yes, I'm being serious) and I go by Zadias! I am a 17 year old high school nerd who loves playing video games and skating. I have a LOVE for technology, especially mobile, but for the past year I have been deprived of speedy greatness, as I have been using my Sprint Palm Pixi.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore WebOS, but with the previous broken promises and lack of response on whether or not Sprint will have the next flagship WebOS phone, I decided I'm going to have to jump ship on the OS. Who knows? Maybe two years from now Sprint might get their ducks in a row and realize WebOS and it's greatness!
After reading around and taking note of other mobile operating platforms, the optimal choice in my eyes would be Android OS. I like Android OS because I like Google. Haha, just kidding, I'm not jumping on a bandwagon just because of a companies success! If I did I'd be getting an iPhone (ew). The reason I chose Android OS over iOS is because.. well.. frankly... the iOS UI is ****. There's only one option for a mobile phone, the iPhone form factor, take it or leave it. There's also the pain in not being able to customize your phone to its fullest potential without jail-breaking it. Android OS has everything I want, even though it may be lacking in the fields of Multitasking (compared to WebOS), it is still something I can live with.
Ah now the phone. The HTC EVO 3D. Well. Dual core. Sense 3.0. Gingerbread. qHD resolution. 3D (more of a gimmick, whatever). and the name "HTC".
How can you go wrong choosing the EVO 3D?
The battery life may be **** on the EVO 3D but mind you; I lived with a Sprint Palm Pixi, overclocked at 800MHz (it's 600~MHz factory clocked). I carried around a spare battery and my charger in my bag at all times. This didn't seem much of a pain in the ass to me to be honest, so I'm willing to live with an EVO 3D and whatever I get as its battery life.
Wow that's a lot I've written.
TL;DR 17 year old, North VA, gamer, skater, nerd, ex-WebOS, getting HTC EVO 3D.
I've never really had an Android phone. I'm considering learning how to develop over the summer.
