I'm a convert from the iPhone's. I went to AT&T to purchase a new iPhone 5 but they were all out. I kept hearing that they are a thing of the past and the androids were the way to go now. So I ended up leaving with a new HTC One. I'm pleased with it so far. I've been reading on this site for a few days trying to pick up tips and tricks so I'm not completely lost on it all. Figured I'd register because I think I'll be on here quite a bit. I love how these phones are completely customizable. I can make it my own and not be limited.

Welcome to the Android Central forums and happy to see that they were out of IP5s :) and anyway you got one of the newest and hottest Androids out right now. Don't forget to visit the HTC One forum for more info on it and I posted the full user manual as well. Again thank you. :)

Welcome to Android and the forums!

Your assessment is a frequent thing here on the forums. Many people seem to be leaving iOS for custom reasons, feeling limited, or tired of the OS in general. While I am not an HTC fan, I can completely understand why a lot of people love the One. It looks and feels like a solid device.

Have fun, ask questions, and never stop exploring Android. I have been using it for about 18 months now, and at least once a month I learn something about it.

Welcome to Android!

I think you'll love your HTC One coming from an iPhone. I've seen where a lot of former iOS users are having "home button" withdrawals, but if you continue to give it time you'll never go back to iOS.

If you have any questions about your phone, feel free to ask.
