New htc or motorola devices for verizon?

Is it possible that we will see a HTC dual core like the Sensation released this summer on Verizon? I have to choose a phone by the middle/end of summer and I really want Sense 3.0 and dual core. Should I just get the Thunderbolt, even tho it seriously disappoints me knowing it's already outdated and not getting Sense 3.0?

Wouldn't hold my breath on any HTC dual-core devices coming to VzW this summer, or perhaps even this year. Much more likely you'll see Samsung and Moto, and possibly LG, before you see HTC.

Seems like the Thunderbolt is my only option, guess I'm gonna have to opt out for that as I highly dislike the look and feel of Motoblur. This will be my first smart phone, so I'll probably love it regardless.

I was on the horn with VZW customer service today and got a pitch about how I am eligible for an upgrade and I told them their selection was a bit lame at this time. They went on to tell me several 4G offerings are in the works to be released very soon. I poked and prodded and hemmed and hawed about what kind and the dates and all they would say is "soon". I'm holding my breath, not!

Truthfully, care reps at the call centers don't know release dates. We're kept in the dark until the last minute, I mean we had a training on the fruit phone and the Thunderbolt months prior to them even acknowledging their existence..

Data reps, on the other hand, know more and have been pretty accurate with what they tell me..

Data Rep? My call was about complaints from callers saying my phone rings many times before I answer, and I only hear it ring once and answer it.

They had me do a *228 and called me several times making sure it went to voice mail sooner than the complaints and asked me if I wanted to be sent to a higher level of support. I declined. Are those the Data reps?

They are not, and yes they don't know much.. ;)

I was making a statement in regards to your mentioning the rep talking about the new phones "coming soon". Data reps kinda have a more managerial role, they handle small business sales and mainly anything pertaining to data (mobile broadband, tethering, tablet sales, modem sales, blah).. The data reps in my area are always on point with device info..

You got generic customer service, they do the same thing with every issue. Tech support will just say to factory reset. Your issue sounds like it's signal related, like there's a delay between how many times it rings from one end before your end gets the connection.

I have the Thunderbolt and I'm "happy" with that. The LG Revolution should be a nice device to own, if you really want a dual core cpu.

I just want the HTC Flyer, or something wifi only like the Eee Pad Transformer. Never was a fan of the MotoDroid line.

revolution isnt dual core though.

I was wondering the same thing because I wanted the same thing. My upgrade is available in July but I have a feeling I'll be waiting quite awhile. I'm just hoping for Q1 2012 at this point.

Personally I would skip on the Thunderbolt.

Im keeping my Incredible untill something dual core that is rootable comes out on Big Red. Guess thats means the Galaxy S 2 but i would love to see an HTC dual core option!!
