New Huawei P10 plus UK unlocked- how long for updates?

[Android Central Question]

Only had this phone for a 3 days but I'm wondering how long I might have to wait for the first OTA update? I ask because my last few phones always had updates ready as soon as the phone was turned on & there are a few issues with the phone that I'm hoping will be resolved by updates. I'm not certain that I want to keep this phone so am hoping it will update before my 30 day return limit! The build number is C432B120.

Few things I tried:
-Firmware Finder but it wouldn't download anything due to "unstable connection"
-registered Huawei ID as China location
-checked updates via the suite thing & HiCare

Not interested in Funky Huawei because it's too expensive & like I said I might not keep the phone. I called Huawei support about something else & mentioned this. They said they couldn't give me an estimate because updates are rolled out in batches, however surely if earlier updates had already been rolled out they'd be available now?

I don't have a p10 but I have had other Huawei devices that would refuse to update even for months and I had to use firmware finder to push the update.

So if this is your situation then it might go beyond your 30 day return period. But regardless I would wait until the last day to see if it would update.
