about to order a new phone for my wife. att is insisting on equiping it with the new isis sim card. will i still be able to use google wallet? i suppose my other option is to get my local att store to swap it out for a standard one, but i'm wondering if its even necessary. I assume i'd have to install isis on the phone, and if its preinstalled i can disable it. the question then is whether google wallet would still work with this sim card installed

Which phone are you getting? Google Wallet's tap to pay function only works on a Nexus device or the Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE. If one of these devices is updated to Kit Kat, then the ISIS SIM should not interfere with Google Wallet. If the device is on Jellybean, Google Wallet's tap to pay function will not work with an ISIS SIM card in the phone.

it's a G2. it did come with an ISIS sim card, and tap to pay is a no go. haven't tested it for myself yet, but there are a ton of people telling me that if i were to put this isis sim card into my stock nexus 5, tap to pay becomes disabled...

I would think that the ISIS SIM card in a Nexus 5 would not impact Google Wallet, but I haven't tried it to verify this. If I ever remember, I could put the ISIS SIM card from my Note 3 into my Nexus 5 and try to use Google Wallet's tap to pay function, but my memory is bad!

As far as I know, Google Wallet's tap to pay won't work on the G2 even with a regular SIM card because Google has not whitelisted the G2 to work with GW tap to pay.
