New L90 Battery suddenly discharges completely when phone is off

Take a look at this:

I got this L90 yesterday, rooted it Towelroot, and left it to charge--TURNED OFF--for the day. When I can back just before 8:00, I noticed: 1) The phone had turned on; and 2), the battery was at 1%.

What the hell is going on?

Same thing is happening with my brand new L90 right out the box. Did you by chance not have a SIM in it? Not that a missing SIM should do something to drain the battery instantly. I have yet to put a SIM in mine. I think i caught mine turning itself on. I know when I put it in the box the first time after shutting it down, it was off. I went to put the charge in the box a while later and the LG screen was on.
