Well after 5 years away, I'm back in the USCellular fold. We left back in 2005, when they said they wouldn't be getting any smartphones (besides blackberry). Tonight, I said adios to AT$$$T They can't even come close to the plan USCC gave us. Very happy, and already loving the android experience! Can't believe it took me this long!

I'll probably root down the road...I'll wait for the 2.2 update which is supposed to be coming and see what that brings. Want to play with the phone a bit first and get familiar with it before I go rooting!

Uscellular is a really great company to be with. I've had them for years...never drop a call or lose a signal and you can't beat their customer service. Glad you like your new phone

I have a buddy who works for ATT and he was trying to get me to switch. I told him how much my plan is with taxes and he said, "yeah, stick with US Cellular", lol.

Nice! We were trying to upgrade with att but it would have cost more to upgrade just my wife's phone than the etf. I told them that and their attitude was don't let the door hit you on the way out. So we left, and a week later I couldn't be happier!

I'm not surprised by their attitude. They think that because they're such a large company that losing one customer isn't going to affect them but just about everybody I know who has at&t is leaving them for sprint or uscellular.

I know quite a few people who are looking to leave AT&T as soon as their contracts are up. Around our area, dropped calls are quite common on AT&T, and we aren't in a heavily populated area (like NYC or SFO). We've been with USCC for 12+ years and have never had a problem with our service.

have been giving my son-in-law a hard time for some time for having no ATT coverage when they visit us, while I have traveled most of the US and ALWAYS have coverage! Gotta love a totally useless Iphone!
Though, last week was the kicker when he started bragging about just getting 3G coverage, yes 3G! They live in a metro area of aprox. 200,000 people and they just got 3G! he was a bit deflated when I told him US Cellular has had 3G in our RURAL area for a couple years now!
