I've used a screen protector for the watch face, it was a waterslide type. It gave a slight orange peel look which yuo could see when the light hit it right, and was ever so slightly grabby, not as slick a feel as glass. It did protect the glass when I rapped it on some doorways when in a hurry. If I did it again I'd look for one of the stiffer plastic types like I use for my phone as they are slicker to the touch.
Key apps IMHO are:
- Google keep - just say "OK Google - take a note" and there is a web app to view your notes later on PC, and of course phone companion app. Syncs across all. Really nice when you got stuff all over your hands, while driving, etc..
- Coffee App. Got people who love to text? Hard to text while your hands are tied up but this allows you to reply with a couple taps, uses precanned responses, including ones where you can customize the response.
I wrote about Tweetings & Coffee
here. Check it out if you want to see pics & get more details.
Bubble Cloud Launcher - like the Apple app launcher. Even with the new app list, useful. I found the app list wasn't optimizing to my app usage, no idea why. Some comments on why it's helpful
here.
THose are the ones I use pretty much constantly.
