Well, I've owned, and still possess a bunch of Linux powered devices in the past (Sharp Zaurii (3), a nokia n800 and an n810), a Arnova Tablet, and I still have a Nix iPod Touch 4th gen...........but this is my first "real" tablet: a Nexus 7.
Must say I am very impressed. The integration in the OS and apps seems very tight and well done, and the hardware is stunning for the $$. I have the 16GB version.
Generally I try to keep the base OS or ROM on my devices as stock as possible, but I will spend time optimizing them for speed and fluidity and usefulness. Will be very interested to see how the Tablet market advances in the next couple of years. Already I was thinking to myself tonight that I may never buy/acquire another laptop: the tablets seem to be so useful, portable, and also have the advantage of being easily hooked up to Keyboards and mice for "real" productivity, when needed.
