New Nexus Tablet?

I've been out of the Android game for a bit but I'm shopping around for a tablet for the holidays. I'm not terribly impressed with the Nexus 9 but I always go Nexus when buying Android.

So I guess my question is...has there been any talk of a Nexus tablet refresh or are we stuck with the Nexus 9 through the holidays?

No to a Nexus tablet; the 9 is the latest version of Nexus on tablets. There is the Pixel C, which is a Google designed and produced tablet; info here: Pixel C | Android Central

This would be so sweet if 2016 brought an updated Nexus 7, hopefully with wireless charging. Tablet Monkeys has the rumor.

That would be really sweet... A Nexus low end tablet is what we need. Not everyone is able to spend $500 dollars for a Nexus 9 or the Pixel C. Google knows that.

Not trying to be rude but if you know your buying a new tablet in a few months, most incomes will allow you to save up an extra couple hundred bucks for a top notch tablet. I'm also in the market for a new tablet to replace my Galaxy tab 2 10.1, but have been watching the market for a tablet that will last as long as this one has. BTW, it still works great, just slow by today's standards.
