Hi I just got my nexus 7 today, and its my first android device. So please bear with me if i don't understand anything about it.
I want to root it and read the tutorials, and also read that paranoid android rom and trinity kernel is a good option/combination. (?)
I found the link for the paranoid android ROM i found on another post, but i cant find one for the TRINITY KERNEL.
Can someone please give me a link? And other recommendations are much appreciated.
Thanks a lot ^-^

The kernel can be found if you Google DER trinity . Has its own website with links to the N7 on the side. I ran that ROM . Its good I like how you can switch to the tablet ui. I like Aokp and official cm10 ROMs. Hope you enjoy the N7. I haven't stopped using it since day 1

thanks a lot for your help and for a quick response ^-^
and one more thing, do you think i should use costum kernel? or should i just stick to the stack one. And which kernel do you recommend?
thanks again :)

I'm a fan of franco's kernel. His app available in the Play Store, Franco kernel Updater, will download and flash it for you, and includes many settings to tweak and customize. Although I've heard good things about, and had a fine experience with Trinity as well. See what works best for you... kernels can be changed out so easily you don't need to feel married to one or the other :)

I'm also a fan of Franco's mainly for his app, it makes tweaking and updating so easy.

He recently released a free version and I think it works on the N7

On the N7 it's still a tad feature light right now. It's only on version 6. But if his work on the Gnex is any indication of things to come you can expect to see more features being added. I'm hoping to see some color tweaks like on the Gnex, that's the one area that i feel the N7 falls down a bit on. Looks a tad washed out if you use auto brightness.

One thing he seems to be against is overclocking--says it doesn't need it.

Also, FWIW, I personally find the latest trinity release (111) to be a bit smoother. But it's all placebic, to some degree :).

thank you for all your help guys. i finally rooted my n7 and installed paranoid android and trinity kernel. but i noticed one thing after ?'ve done the mod. the cpu/battery starts heating up, even when im just browsing or just using facebook or internet. it wasn't like this before. i mean it only heats up when i play games.

Mine does to. Its just the processor kicking in to full capacity. More stress on the CPU.

is there a way to notch it down a little, because kinda gets uncomfortable when its heating up

It'll heat up regardless, unfortunately. You can try making sure your overclock (if any) is not applicable.
