Hi! Name's George. I switched devices, from a Blackberry Curve (yeah, I know) to the Samsung Epic 4G, in May, 2011. Started doing some browsing around the web as to what this thing can do and came across this term "rooting". WELL, I half wish I'd never heard the term now 'cause finding out what ELSE this device can do has become something of an obsession now! I spend quite a bit of time browsing different forums and, while I admit probably 60% of the terminology and other things are way over my head, I have learned SO much, thanks to this and other forums. The fact that so many people take valuable time out of their day(s) to inform noobs like myself amazes me and I, for one, am VERY grateful that you do.
So, I'm still on the Epic 4G, running CyanogenMod version 9.0.0-RCO-EpicMTD-KANG. I have a few questions regarding this ROM but, as to not get off on the wrong foot here, I'll do some searching through the threads before asking. I'll even try to ask them on the appropriate threads!lol I pre-apologize for any annoying noobness on my part and look forward to learning with/from you all.
