New Note 8 straight in downloading ODD

Hi All,

Just got a Note 8 and its no connected to wi-fi or a phone network. However, its attempting to download an update. So its stuck because I take it its impossible to download anything at the moment.

It went straight into this, so I've not had a chance to select anything. I also don't seem to be able to turn it off.

Any ideas anyone?

hold power. bixby and volume up buttons for about 10 seconds and let it boot into recovery, then reboot from there and start over
