Hey - I got a new Note 8 last night and I felt like something was a little off about the screen. My wife noticed it right away, a heavy blue tint, a-la Pixel 2 XL. But this isn't an off axis tint, it's like this even straight on. The pictures below compare it to an S8+. Not sure what to do about this... take it back?

Did you check to make sure you didn't have a blue light filter on

By no means should they charge you restock. It's an obvious mfg defect
They shouldn't but they might especially if he says wants to exchange it for another one if there's not an obvious defect (some places don't see blue tint as an issue)

They'll take it back without a restocking fee since I got it at Target. Target doesn't have restocking fees.

I've been playing with the different display settings and I think I've got the tint issue sorted out. I put the Note 8 in adaptive mode and moved the temperature up a notch with the manual control at the bottom of the menu. The Note now looks great and the tint is much improved.

Do you get to keep it until the replacement comes in, or does Target give you a new one at the store there?

Yep, I had the S8+ and now a Note 8 and used adaptive mode on both. None of the other modes look right. I never could get the S8+ exactly like I wanted it. That's part of the reason I traded it in for an iPhone X. That screen is even better that my Note 8.

Mines also on Adaptive mode.

Target will just give me a new one there, but that's because I'm within my 14 day return period. They don't really have a choice.
