I got an OTA today. I am already on 6.0 . This was a bug fix I believe. It is only 2.2MB in size. Anyone else get this?

Maybe this fix is what's holding up the OTA for build LMY48T. At this point, Google hasn't offered any explanation why the OTA is being held up, so I'm past caring anymore. Whenever they release it, I'll install it and we'll be done.

Updates to MRA58U

I still have not received my marshmallow update yet either.

Did you sideload it? Or get the update straight from OTA with WiFi?

In my case, I updated to 6.0 using Nexus Root Toolkit and this latest update - a security patch only, I believe - showed up as an OTA notification.

Does anyone know anything about LMY48W build and when it's supposed to OTA?

I have received the OTA several times, but it always fails on install (little red asterisk on android guy). I thought it was because of my unlocked bootloader, but I just locked it back and it still failed. Nothing else has been changed. Anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this?

I still have yet to get the 6.0 firmware sent to me. I'm still on Android 5.1.1 and hope I get it soon because I have the Nexus 5 X and love marshmallow so far.

Apparently that bug fix is the reason for why the OTA for 6.0 hasn't rolled out yet. There was a bug that screwed up video playback. This 2.2mb update fixes the issue for those who've already sideloaded the MM update.

"MRA58U is an update that fixes the video playback issue with the MRA58K build on the 2013 Nexus 7. Video would hang after a few seconds, with audio continuing to play on almost any app except Google apps. Netflix and Vudu were affected, among others.

Google appeared to stop the roll out of the 6.0 OTA to Nexus 7s after the issue was discovered/reported. I sideloaded the Marshmallow OTA on my N7 only to break the video playback. A friend's 2013 N7 has yet to get the Marshmallow OTA."

-From user jbrossard here on AC forums.

So apparently once they integrate this bug fix into the OTA it should start rolling out.

I fixed my issue by just sideloading the OTA. Should have went this route from the beginning. I also had to wipe the cache partition.

I got the 58U OTA today but it would not install, I think because I am unlocked, so I side loaded it from Google. Can't see any difference yet.

I factory reset mine, was gonna sideload it, but got busy then this new phone got delivered. 😀 Will do it tomorrow.

careful !!!! no OTA files for LMY48T build yet... I am not a pro, but was cautioned that I may brick my unit if I load wrong files. Depends on what android build you are on. :) I'm no pro.
